THEATRICAL INTIMACY

Award-winning director, fight & certified intimacy director, and teaching artist, Ashley H. White will teach a three-night workshop on Theatrical Intimacy. This must-take class for actors, directors, teachers, and theatre professionals, will explore performing varying levels of intimacy in acting and the physical impacts of emotional connections while teaching safe, dynamic, and repeatable techniques.
Topics will include The Cycle of Consent, Ashley’s original methodology for creating and maintaining spaces that prioritize safety and empower creativity, as well as Tools for Performing and Choreographing Staged Intimacy.

AUDITION MASTER CLASSES WITH ASHLEY H. WHITE AND CODY DRY
This intensive workshop is designed to elevate the auditioning skills and confidence of performers across various disciplines. Led by Artistic Director Ashley H. White and Music Director Cody Dry, these classes will provide invaluable insights and focused attention on each participant and their individual audition needs.
These classes are open to adult actors and singers at any stage of their careers, with the goal of helping these artists refine their techniques and enhance their audition performances.
Preparation & Repertoire: Participants learn how to effectively interpret audition postings to ensure their choices suit the style and requirements of each genre. Guidance is provided on selecting appropriate audition material for both musical theatre and straight plays.
Mock Auditions: Simulated audition scenarios are conducted to replicate real-world audition conditions. This allows participants to practice under pressure, manage nerves, and refine their audition techniques in a supportive environment.
Industry Insights: Instructors share insider knowledge about audition expectations, casting processes, and industry trends; pulling back the veil on what conversations are actually happening behind the table. Participants may participate in both or one of the focused classes, space is extremely limited:

Who is this for?
Anyone with a creative side. Spoiler: That's ALL of us.
We invite all actors, writers, painters, clowns, sculptors, teachers, dancers, singers, (etc. forever) to use this guide to unblock their creative selves.
How will it work?
We will read Julia Cameron's The Artist's Way together. One chapter each week. We will meet for a virtual check-in on Sundays and/or Mondays to discuss any discoveries, challenges, and experiences. This safe space will serve as an accountability and inspiration group. We will have 2-3 in person artist date options. Class sizes are limited to 10.
